Ashley Alberts
Ashley completed her B.S. in Business Administration from Sam Houston State University in 2008. In March 2009, she commenced her adjusting career assisting on Hurricane Gustav and Ike claims and has since managed and assisted on a variety of oil and gas insurance claims including, physical damage, downhole tools, control of well, pollution remediation, and general liability.
Ashley’s claims experience ranges from domestic to international with claims in the capacity of the hundreds of thousands to the tens of millions of dollars. Ashley has attained her Associate in Claims (AIC) certification.

Nick Baker
Nicholas Baker, who joined GRS in 2021, is a skilled loss adjuster with extensive experience in complex claims, including onshore and offshore energy, oil and gas, and renewable energy assets. Nicholas also has significant international experience in site surveys, as well as analyzing and negotiating claims. Before joining GRS, he was a senior loss adjuster at Advanta Global Services and previously held loss adjusting positions at Renewable Energy Loss Adjusters, Lloyd & Partners Ltd., and Charles Taylor Consulting, and was an oil and gas wellhead design engineer at Plexus Ocean Systems Ltd.
Nicholas has a Master of Science degree in composite materials and a Bachelor of Engineering in materials science and engineering, from Imperial College London.

Alasdair Boyle
Alasdair Boyle, who joined GRS in 2021, is an experienced loss adjuster with a background in complex and contentious claims. During his career, he has handled a variety of claims, including property, liability, energy, and renewable energy losses. Before joining GRS, Alasdair held loss adjusting roles at Advanta Global Services, Sedgwick, and Cunningham Lindsey.
Alasdair began his insurance career at Flaxmans, a specialist claims advocacy law firm. In addition to a graduate diploma in law from the College of Law, Bristol. He also has an honor’s Bachelor of Science degree from Leeds University. Alasdair is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and has an Advanced Diploma from the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters.
Joe Brennan
Joe Brennan, who joined GRS in 2021, is a skilled engineer with experience in commercial and residential construction and repairs, as well as the construction, inspection, repair, and maintenance of offshore and underwater structures. Before joining GRS, Joe was an engineering adjuster at Advanta Global Services, a subsea project engineer at TechnipFMC, and a graduate civil engineer at Falcon Structural Repairs Ltd.
Joe is a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and holds a certificate from the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters. Joe holds an honor’s Master of Engineering degree from the University of Leeds and a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
David Brocklehurst
David Brocklehurst joined GRS in 2019 to develop and promote GRS’ innovative claims solutions in the specialty markets, particularly at Lloyd’s and in the London market. As GRS’ Global Specialty Markets Leader, David brings a distinguished set of credentials in claims to the team.
David began his career at a family-owned claims firm, worked for a global claims service provider for over 20 years, and was the lead adjuster on such high-profile claims such as the Piper Alpha oil rig explosion in the North Sea, the Total La Mede refinery explosion, and fire in France, as well as the fire and explosion at the Buncefield Oil storage terminal in the U.K. Based in London, David is a qualified Building Engineer, Chartered Surveyor, and Chartered Insurance Practitioner.
Francesco Cecere
Francesco Cecere, who joined GRS in 2021, is a trained engineer with specialized expertise in renewable energy and complex claims. Before joining GRS, he was a loss adjuster at Fast & Clever Adjusters and the John Amos Partnership. In addition to renewal energy losses, he has experience in claims involving cash in transit, third-party liability, machinery breakdown, and catastrophic weather events.
Francesco has a degree in Electronic Engineering and a Master’s degree in Loss Adjustment from the Polytechnic University of Milan.
Joe Daneman
For over 30 years Joe has handled Cargo, Hull, and Liability claims, with an emphasis on large and complex Cargo losses. Before coming to GRS he had primary responsibility for all Cargo claims for a global insurer.
Emma Evans
Emma Evans, who joined GRS in 2021, has extensive experience in renewable energy claims, with a specialty in solar energy. Before joining GRS, she was a loss adjuster at Advanta Global Services and Renewable Energy Loss Adjusters, where she handled a variety of renewable energy construction and operational claims, including wind, solar, and biomass energy assets.
Emma’s technical knowledge enables her to advise insureds on appropriate loss mitigation, repair, and salvage strategies, as well as work with forensic accountants on business interruption and delay in startup claims. She holds a first-class degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge and a Certificate from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Rich Farrell
Rich Farrell joined GRS through the 2020 acquisition of William Kramer & Associates (WKA). He began his claims career in 2002 estimating large losses for Gallagher Bassett as a subcontractor to Porter Engineering in St. Louis. Gallagher Bassett provided third-party administration services for self-insured groups west of the Mississippi. Rich specialized in the reconstruction estimation of commercial buildings following catastrophic events.
Rich later founded Farrell Claims Services LLC, adjusting a variety of losses throughout the Midwest. In 2005, Rich joined Pilot Adjusting in Mobile, Alabama, adjusting catastrophic losses resulting from Hurricanes Rita, Katrina, and Wilma. He began working with WKA in late 2006, handling a variety of losses, including Hurricane Ike losses in the Houston area, and on other large losses. In June 2013, he opened a Midwest office in St. Louis for WKA.

Larry Gordon
Larry Gordon, who joined GRS through the 2020 acquisition of William Kramer & Associates (WKA), is a highly experienced claims executive. He is skilled in property and equipment breakdown insurance, commercial insurance lines, reinsurance, and claims management. In addition, Larry has extensive experience in managing litigation and other alternative dispute resolution processes. Before joining WKA, he worked in equipment breakdown claims, loss prevention, and engineering at Travelers, where he managed the company’s boiler & machinery claims operations.
Larry’s focus throughout much of his career has been boiler & machinery claims and large, complex claims. He has conducted training programs and seminars in this area on behalf of various claims industry associations in the United States and Canada. Larry has a Master of Business Administration degree in insurance and risk from Temple University’s Fox School of Business and Management.
Michael Grabowski
Michael has more than 20 years’ experience in property and liability claims involving large, complex international losses. Before joining GRS, he was an EGA at two independent specialty loss adjusting firms, Lloyd Warwick International and RGA LLC. Prior to that, he was chief of claims and assistance vice president at RSUI Group, and earlier in his career he was a claims executive at FM Global, handling property and business interruption claims. During most of his tenure at FM Global, he was the lead adjuster in the Caribbean and Northern South America, based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. An early role for Michael at Factory Mutual Engineering was chief flood analyst for the U.S. Southwest.
Carol Gregory
Carol has been a Marine claims professional for over 30 years, with management and adjusting responsibilities on behalf of global insurers, encompassing Hull, Liability and Cargo losses. She has extensive experience managing and directing dedicated TPAs.
Mike Gresty
Mike Gresty, who joined GRS in 2021, has extensive career experience in claims adjusting and complex losses. Before joining GRS, he was a senior liability adjuster at Advanta Global Services and held senior adjuster roles at a number of firms, including Cunningham Lindsey and Ellis & Buckle. He has handled numerous major and complex injury and fatality claims, including commercial aviation, long-term chemical exposure, products liability, environmental liability, and commercial fires.
Mike has an honor’s Bachelor of Science degree in physics from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters.
Nic Hannaford
Bio: I specialised in the investigation, management and negotiation of Public Liability and Employers Liability claims up to a value of £100,000. I managed an active case load in excess of 100 active files all of which were handled under delegated authority. Additionally, numerous instructions were received which required an investigate and report only service. Mandates were awarded by two key insurance companies and a number of Individual Risk Handling Agreements were held with new claims being notified to me direct.

Adam Humphrey
Adam Humphrey, who joined GRS in 2021, has more than two decades of experience managing technical and complex insurance claims, worldwide.
Before that, he has held senior leadership roles in technical adjusting firms, most recently as a board director and global head of energy, property and construction (EAR and DSU) losses at Advanta Global Services. Before that, he held loss adjusting roles at Integra Technical Services; Cunningham Lindsey International, where he was a divisional director responsible for energy claims; and Charles Taylor Adjusting.
Adam is a Chartered Loss Adjuster, Fellow of both the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (CILA).
He sits on the CILA’s Council and is chairman of their Construction, Energy and Engineering Special Interest Group. His academic qualifications include undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Law and Business; and, professional qualifications in insurance and dispute resolution.

Richard Anthony Johnson

Bill Kramer
Bill Kramer joined GRS in 2020 through the acquisition of William Kramer & Associates (WKA), a leading specialist claims firm that Bill founded in 1996. WKA focuses on complex, major losses, and tailored adjustment services across both property and casualty lines. Entering the business in 1978, Bill handled a variety of losses throughout the New York metropolitan area as a staff adjuster, including losses in school districts, hospitals, malls, and other settings, ranging from fire to business interruption, theft, cargo, and inland marine claims.
Beginning In 1983, as a General Adjuster at American International Underwriters (AIU), Bill traveled throughout Europe, the United Kingdom, South America, and the Mid-East for American International Group’s Fortune 50 clients. In addition to international losses, Bill has extensive experience in oil, petrochemical, and manufacturing losses. His career experience includes building claims businesses at Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection & Insurance Company and Thomas Howell Group, which Crawford & Company acquired in 1996.

Emma Kramer-Leary
Emma Kramer joined GRS through the 2020 acquisition of William Kramer & Associates (WKA). She joined WKA in 2010 after completing two professional development programs at Crawford Educational Services in Atlanta. Her studies focused on both basic and intermediate property loss adjustment. After obtaining her Connecticut adjuster’s license in 2012, she began working towards her Associate in Claims (AIC) designation.
Emma serves as a third-party administrator for Bechtel on all North American builders risk projects, auto and equipment claims. For Bechtel, Emma facilitates salvage, the transfer of title, and subrogation against negligent third parties. She also adjusts property and casualty losses in the field throughout New England.

Dennis Martin
Dennis Martin joined GRS through the 2020 acquisition of William Kramer & Associates (WKA). His extensive experience in claims includes moderate to complex, catastrophic and high-severity property losses arising from a variety of perils. Dennis has claim experience in many industries including construction, energy, engineered risks, real estate, health care, manufacturing, public entities and utilities.
Dennis joined WKA in 2002, where he has served as senior vice president and director of catastrophe services. Previously, he was a founding partner and vice president of Engle Martin & Associates and was a regional general adjuster for GAB Robins. Dennis holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Associate in Claims designations.
James Moomaw
James Moomaw has a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University, 1997 and is a registered professional engineer in Texas. James started his career as a field engineer in hydraulic fracturing, then progressed to projects focused on production and reserves for onshore US, Gulf of Mexico, and international oil and gas fields. James utilizes his broad experience in the energy industry to review claims.
James began working as a licensed energy insurance adjuster in 2009 examining claims related to blowouts, storms/hurricanes, fires/explosions, and loss of production/reserves. James has worked claims ranging from relatively small downhole tool losses to hurricane, blowout, and pollution losses in the hundreds of millions.
Robby Nixon
After attaining a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas Tech University in 2009, Robby worked with an international oilfield services provider as a Field Engineer specializing in a diverse scope of drilling, completion, and production oilfield projects throughout the United States. In 2012, Robby commenced a career in insurance adjusting with a specialization in claims unique to the oil and gas industry, including but not limited to control of well, physical damage, pollution remediation, processing plants and refineries, general liability, and business interruption/loss of production income claims.
Robby’s claims experience ranges from domestic to international with claims in the capacity of hundreds of thousands to hundreds of millions of dollars.
Jim Pittman
Pittman is an experienced international insurance professional with more than 34 years in the industry. He began his adjusting career in 1987 and has held senior positions within insurers, brokerages and international loss adjusting companies. He is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner and Chartered Loss Adjuster.
Stuart Platt
Stuart had over 30 years’ experience as a maritime attorney and independent claim professional. He has specialized in investigating and handling Liability claims for domestic and foreign insurers, and actively involves himself in litigation support.
Alexandra Pooley
Alexandra Pooley, who joined GRS in 2021, has extensive career experience in professional services administration and education. Before joining GRS, she held administrative roles at Advanta Global Services and Renewable Energy Loss Adjusters and was a teacher and lead practitioner at Invicta Grammar School. Her skills include coordinating staff projects, planning international travel and events, expense tracking, and providing other support to staff adjusters.
Alexandra has an honor’s Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Newcastle and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education from the Canterbury Christchurch University.
George Pooley
George Pooley, who joined GRS in 2021, has nearly two decades of experience in adjusting complex claims internationally, with specialized expertise in renewable energy projects. Before joining GRS, he was a board director of Advanta Global Services and was the founder and CEO of Renewable Energy Loss Adjusters. He also held loss adjusting roles at Cunningham Lindsey International, McLarens Young International, and Charles Taylor Consulting.
George’s experience in renewables focuses primarily on onshore wind and photovoltaic power plants, but his expertise includes all types of renewable energy, including biomass, hydro, and offshore wind. He has an honor’s Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Exeter, and an Advanced Diploma from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Joyce Redfearn
Joyce is a Loss Adjusting professional with over 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry. She is experienced in managing a team of loss adjusters and desk based claims handlers. Joyce is an experienced Client Account Manager with experience in domestic adjuster handling a portfolio of domestic claims and proactive claims management.
Chris Reeves
Mike Reeves
Mike Reeves joined GRS in November 2018 after a long and distinguished career as executive vice president of global markets at a large, global claims adjusting company. At that firm, he played a key role in the formulation of a division dedicated to providing loss handling services for large and complex organizations.
As Major & Complex Loss Executive at GRS, Mike leads the development of GRS’ Complex Claims Solutions. Based in London, he is renowned for his market knowledge and relationships in the global insurance industry. Mike is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters and an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Michael Rotolo
Michael Rotolo joined GRS through the 2020 acquisition of William Kramer & Associates (WKA). His expertise includes adjusting complex property losses in the energy, chemical and manufacturing sectors. Michael has in excess of 35 years of commercial property insurance claims experience. Prior to joining WKA, Michael was a vice president with Marsh USA, where he provided claims advocacy service to the brokerage’s major clients. Before that, he was an AVP/General Adjuster with Maxson Young & Associates, an independent adjusting firm.
Michael started his career with Factory Mutual Engineering Association as a loss prevention engineer. In addition to large commercial property claims, he has experience in marine cargo claims. Michael co-developed and taught a course for Factory Mutual adjusting on using forensic accounting techniques to audit property claims and has written on risk management concepts for educational institutions.
Darrell Smith
With an extensive oilfield and adjusting career spanning over 40 years, Darrell started in the oil and gas industry as a drilling fluids engineer where he assisted in drilling wells at onshore, offshore and international locations. Darrell also worked at an independent oilfield service company specializing in the distribution of oilfield tubular equipment, during which he managed sales offices in Texas and California.
Darrell has worked for 17 years as an energy insurance loss adjuster in Houston. He has handled a wide range of domestic and international claims specializing in the control of well, onshore/offshore construction, physical damage (including rigs, compressors, tank batteries, offshore fixed and deepwater floating platforms, subsea installations, and pipelines), business interruption/loss of production income, and pollution.
Major loss assignments include various deepwater claims for pipeline collapse during installation and floating platform riser failures (Gulf of Mexico); deep water marine riser failure (Brazil); various massive surface blowouts resulting in pollution and third-party claims (GOM, Louisiana, Venezuela, Mexico & Bolivia); pipeline construction claims and numerous onshore and offshore physical damage claims caused by named storms/hurricanes.
Mark Smith
GRS International in Dubai, Chartered Loss Adjuster, Mark Smith is GRS’ technical director with a focus on GRS’ Middle East operations United Arab Emirates. Before joining GRS, he owned and operated a leading regional firm and built a reputation as one of the most experienced and expert Chartered Loss Adjusters in the Middle East.

Jeff Stenberg
Jeff Stenberg joined GRS through the 2020 acquisition of William Kramer & Associates (WKA). He began his career in 1987 performing boiler and machinery loss prevention surveys and jurisdictional inspections at large commercial properties including heavy hazard occupancies. He was responsible for conducting high-profile account and/or value surveys outside the United States.
In January 1994 he moved to Frankfurt, Germany, where he hired and trained European nationals to conduct Boiler & Machinery Loss Prevention Surveys outside of North America. In 1996 he returned to Connecticut as a claim consultant for Industrial Risk Insurers. His main responsibility was to provide claims department and company management technical assistance in large, unusual, and/or complex losses. Two years later Jeff became a General Adjuster within the Special Risk Unit responsible for all losses within a book of high hazard occupancies accounts.
He also supervised claim adjustments for losses in Africa and India. He joined VeriClaim (McLarens Toplis North America) and became lead adjuster for the Boston office. He joined Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection & Insurance Company (HSB) in 2011 as one of two Executive General Adjusters responsible for supervision and management of all losses in excess of $100,000.
From August 2012 to June 2013 he was responsible for the development, implementation, and training of Claim Standards, and representing the Claims Department in company activities related to supporting existing and development of new products. In 2013, Jeff joined WKA as an Executive General Adjuster in the Connecticut office, where he focuses on large, high-hazard occupancy Builders Risk/Construction losses. He holds the Associate in Claims designation.

Paul Toon
Paul Toon, who joined GRS in 2021, has more than 25 years’ experience in loss adjusting. He is a Chartered Consulting Engineer and Project Manager, and an expert in renewable and conventional energy losses, oil & gas, petrochemicals, and construction & engineering claims. During his career, he has handled complex and technical claims throughout the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, and other regions. Paul also has been involved in large projects in the petrochemical, oil & gas, and pharmaceutical sectors, where he has led teams on turnarounds, equipment upgrades, and replacement.
Before joining GRS, Paul was a senior engineering consultant at Advanta Global Services and managing director of PWT Consulting, an engineering and loss adjusting firm doing business internationally. Prior to that, he held engineering and management roles at several global claims companies. He has an honors bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Northumbria University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters.
Sam Toumbev
Sam Toumbev is an experienced Forensic Accountant, joining GRS from an international loss adjusting firm. Before that, he was a Senior Associate at C Lewis forensic accountants. Samis a Chartered Accountant and brings with him a wealth of experience in assessing complex time element claims, in construction and operational phases, on behalf of global insurers. He will work as an integral part of GRS’ multidisciplinary Complex Claims Solutions loss adjusting team.
Casey Walsh
Casey Walsh joined GRS through the 2020 acquisition of William Kramer & Associates (WKA). He began his insurance career in 2001 working as an intern with the Special Investigation Unit of the Traveler Insurance Claims Department. Upon graduating college in 2003, Casey began his claims career as a Travelers property adjuster.
At WKA, Casey handles a variety of large, complex property and time element losses for various markets, including Lloyd’s of London and U.S.-based insurance companies. Casey specializes in adjusting large industrial risks including utilities, power generation, manufacturing, mining, refineries, and large industrial facilities. Casey is a member of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters.

Rodney Winkler
Rodney acquired a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1997 and spent the following several years working with an international oilfield services provider in drilling and production operations as a trainee engineer and field representative in Dubai and Venezuela. Thereafter, Rodney started his career as a licensed insurance adjuster specializing in claims unique to the oil and gas industry and has worked for various firms throughout the years primarily in Houston, Texas, and one posting in London, England.
Rodney’s claims experience includes control of well, rig physical damage, midstream equipment, pollution remediation, gas plants and refineries, general liability, pipelines, and business interruption/loss of production income. He has served as an expert witness for several legal disputes in the oil and gas industry. The claims Rodney has been involved with span the globe and range in quantum from the hundreds of thousands to the hundreds of millions of dollars. Rodney is an organizing committee member for the Lillehammer Energy Claims Conference held every year in Norway and routinely gives presentations on industry trends.
Peter Wiswell
As an attorney and claims professional, Peter has over 30 years of experience managing a full range of Marine claims and natural and man-made disasters. Prior to joining GRS he was Director, Technical Marine Claims for a global insurer. Peter is also an active SMA arbitrator.
