Ali Saidi joined GRS in 2022 as a Senior Engineering Loss Adjuster and Branch Manager in Qatar, with almost a decade of experience managing technical and complex insurance claims. Before GRS, Ali worked as a loss adjuster for a leading firm based in KSA,  Qatar and London. Before that, he worked as a Chemical Process Engineer for several years, holds a Master’s in Chemical Engineering (MEng) from UCL, and is a fluent Arabic speaker.

His experience includes the Design, Construction, Operations and Commissioning of various facilities worldwide.

Ali has extensive experience within the GCC Insurance market (KSA and Qatar), handling and providing technical input on various claims, including energy, construction, business interruption, and machinery breakdown. Major assignments include

• Dakar Rally nominated adjuster (2020 & 2021)

Ali also worked briefly as an Energy and Risk Engineering Manager for a leading GCC Insurer. He interacted with reinsurers and brokers for new tenders and existing Insureds, reviewing and commenting on various energy slips for renewals and new business.

Ali has experience in various engineering calculations (including pressure relief valves, compressor settle out, depressurization, equipment sizing and line sizing) and design of PFDs, P&IDs, Process Datasheets, and Heat & Material balances and inspected facilities to ensure mechanical process integrity of various systems. Christopher has recently joined GRS as an Executive Director of CCS International and Regional Director for the Middle East, leading our regional Construction, Property and Specialist Liabilities team.

He is a Chartered Loss Adjuster with more than 26 years’ experience in the insurance industry, to include 23 years as a loss adjuster.

Christopher has been based in the Middle East for the past 13 years, during which time he has held senior leadership positions. He actively manages a portfolio of major and complex construction, engineering, professional indemnity, property, business interruption and liability claims throughout the Middle East, North Africa and West Asia on behalf of international and regional Insurers and Reinsurers.

Dalraj Dhillon joined GRS in 2024 as a Loss Adjuster and is based at our new London office situated at 51 Lime Street. Prior to joining GRS, he worked in the city for several years performing a dual role as a commercial construction claims adjuster and auditor. As part of this role, he managed a varied Commercial Claims case load relating to Contractors, All Risks, Erection All Risks, Machinery breakdown, Plant and Equipment. Simultaneously he performed his duties as an auditor on various classes of insurance reviewing both underwriting and claims files, providing him with a robust set of analytical skills. Carol has been a Marine claims professional for over 30 years, with management and adjusting responsibilities on behalf of global insurers, encompassing Hull, Liability and Cargo losses. She has extensive experience managing and directing dedicated TPAs.

Adam Humphrey, who joined GRS in 2021, has more than two decades of experience managing technical and complex insurance claims, worldwide.

Before that, he has held senior leadership roles in technical adjusting firms, most recently as a board director and global head of energy, property and construction (EAR and DSU) losses at Advanta Global Services. Before that, he held loss adjusting roles at Integra Technical Services; Cunningham Lindsey International, where he was a divisional director responsible for energy claims; and Charles Taylor Adjusting.

Adam is a Chartered Loss Adjuster, Fellow of both the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (CILA).

He sits on the CILA’s Council and is chairman of their Construction, Energy and Engineering Special Interest Group. His academic qualifications include undergraduate and Master’s degrees in Law and Business; and, professional qualifications in insurance and dispute resolution.

Extensive knowledge of system set up and integration, M&A transactions, regulatory compliance, financial reporting and setting up international offices. Jonas Zahn joined GRS in 2024 as a loss adjuster based in London. Before GRS, he worked at Llyod Warwick handling major oil, gas, and renewable energy claims. Jonas also has domestic loss adjusting experience from his time at Sedgwick. He holds a diploma in management and finance and is pursing further certification with the Charted Insurance Institute (CII). With his diverse background across energy and domestic claims, he brings expertise to the onshore renewable energy loss adjusting fields at GRS.

Judi is a highly organised, enthusiastic, and efficient team player that brings energy and drive to any organisation. Stuart had over 30 years’ experience as a maritime attorney and independent claim professional. He has specialized in investigating and handling Liability claims for domestic and foreign insurers, and actively involves himself in litigation support.

Alexandra Pooley, who joined GRS in 2021, has extensive career experience in professional services administration and education. Before joining GRS, she held administrative roles at Advanta Global Services and Renewable Energy Loss Adjusters and was a teacher and lead practitioner at Invicta Grammar School. Her skills include coordinating staff projects, planning international travel and events, expense tracking, and providing other support to staff adjusters.

Alexandra has an honor’s Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Newcastle and a Post Graduate Certificate of Education from the Canterbury Christchurch University.

George Pooley, who joined GRS in 2021, has nearly two decades of experience in adjusting complex claims internationally, with specialized expertise in renewable energy projects. Before joining GRS, he was a board director of Advanta Global Services and was the founder and CEO of Renewable Energy Loss Adjusters. He also held loss adjusting roles at Cunningham Lindsey International, McLarens Young International, and Charles Taylor Consulting.

George’s experience in renewables focuses primarily on onshore wind and photovoltaic power plants, but his expertise includes all types of renewable energy, including biomass, hydro, and offshore wind. He has an honor’s Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the University of Exeter, and an Advanced Diploma from the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Mike Reeves joined GRS in November 2018 after a long and distinguished career as executive vice president of global markets at a large, global claims adjusting company. At that firm, he played a key role in the formulation of a division dedicated to providing loss handling services for large and complex organizations.

As Major & Complex Loss Executive at GRS, Mike leads the development of GRS’ Complex Claims Solutions. Based in London, he is renowned for his market knowledge and relationships in the global insurance industry. Mike is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters and an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Fifteen years’ post-graduate experience working with infrastructure and engineering projects. An international loss adjuster on energy and large scale infrastructure based claims, with a wealth of experience in infrastructure planning, strategy, modelling, construction and operations. Key experience also in quantity and cost analysis, capital and financial modelling, as well as strong project management experience that includes resource, budget and commercial management of infrastructure projects.

Ross Montagne joined GRS in 2024 having previously worked in solar design and installation. He has gained experience of designing and installing small-scale solar, working on numerous projects in southern England including battery storage. He is now looking to bring these technical skills to bear in insurance. Ross has his Cert. CII and is working towards the Di.p CII.

Having been based in Dubai for the first five years of his Middle East career, Steve moved to Qatar in 2018 initially as a Senior Loss Adjuster and then latterly the Country Manager for an international adjusting practice.

Sunil is a qualified electrical engineer and registered electrical engineering expert in the State of Qatar, with fifteen years’ experience in working in construction projects in India and the Middle East involving the erection of electrical substations and power cable installations.

He has worked as a Loss Adjuster for an international adjusting company for five years, based in Qatar, before recently joining GRS. Sunil handles a portfolio of primarily construction, engineering and property claims.

Paul Toon, who joined GRS in 2021, has more than 25 years’ experience in loss adjusting. He is a Chartered Consulting Engineer and Project Manager, and an expert in renewable and conventional energy losses, oil & gas, petrochemicals, and construction & engineering claims. During his career, he has handled complex and technical claims throughout the United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East, and other regions. Paul also has been involved in large projects in the petrochemical, oil & gas, and pharmaceutical sectors, where he has led teams on turnarounds, equipment upgrades, and replacement.

Before joining GRS, Paul was a senior engineering consultant at Advanta Global Services and managing director of PWT Consulting, an engineering and loss adjusting firm doing business internationally. Prior to that, he held engineering and management roles at several global claims companies. He has an honors bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Northumbria University and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters.

Sam Toumbev is an experienced Forensic Accountant, joining GRS from an international loss adjusting firm. Before that, he was a Senior Associate at C Lewis forensic accountants. Samis a Chartered Accountant and brings with him a wealth of experience in assessing complex time element claims, in construction and operational phases, on behalf of global insurers. He will work as an integral part of GRS’ multidisciplinary Complex Claims Solutions loss adjusting team.

As an attorney and claims professional, Peter has over 30 years of experience managing a full range of Marine claims and natural and man-made disasters. Prior to joining GRS he was Director, Technical Marine Claims for a global insurer. Peter is also an active SMA arbitrator.
